I really suck at writing things like that so you gonna have to bear with me on this

- My name is Abd El Rahman Abd El Khalek Ghareeb I live in Zagazig (about 80 KM away from Cairo), Egypt.

- I was born in Khobar, Saudi Arabia at 22/9/1984 and I lived there till I was 13 years old.

- I'm a software developer and I work for OpenCraft the greatest Open Source IT Solutions company in the universe!

- I don't have a lot of friends, maybe I don't have a lot of friends because I was hurt a lot and I try to avoid being hurt again by shutting people out of my life (I could have made a fortune if I became a psychiatrist!)

- These are the only things that makes me happy: TV, coding, translating, writing, and recently playing with my little nephews Kareem and Omar.

- I truly believe in islam but I won't categorize myself because honestly I can't. Some people find me an extremist and some other people find me a secular, believe it or not some people agreed on a discussion forum that I'm a zionist!
so its up to you to decide, keep on reading my blog and writings and maybe we both can figure it out :)

- I believe in freedom and sharing thats why I only use Free/Libre software, one of the greatest things about it is being a member in a very beautiful community here in egypt. I also believe in hackerdom

- The thing I want the most is to travel around the world

What is slashproc?
From wikipedia "procfs is a pseudo-filesystem which is used to access kernel information about processes."
"The filesystem is often mounted at /proc. It is supported under Solaris, BSD and Linux, and the latter also extends it to non-process-related data."

So basically /proc filesystem describes current information on the running system under GNU/Linux. I named my blog slashproc.net because this blog reflects whats currently going on with me and describes the current processes in my mind :)
